The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process through which adults learn about the Catholic faith and prepare to become members of the Catholic Church. It is designed for people who are interested in becoming Catholic, those who have not been baptized, and those who were baptized in another Christian tradition but wish to join the Church.
During the OCIA journey, participants learn about the teachings of the Church, the message of the Bible, and the life and mission of Jesus Christ. They take part in prayer, discussions, and community activities that help them grow in faith.
The process usually leads to receiving the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist, often celebrated during the Easter Vigil. OCIA helps individuals deepen their relationship with God and become active members of the Church community.
